Born and raised in Santiago, Chile, Grandmaster Marco Sies speaks candidly about his humble beginnings and struggles he experienced growing up. Poverty, bullying, illness and even homelessness were challenges he faced throughout his early life, but he reflects on how those difficult times developed his spirit and strength and will always remind him where he came from and the deep gratitude he feels for his accomplishments, health and loved ones.

Even as a young child, Grandmaster Marco Sies was fascinated by the universe and how the mind works.  He studied ancient philosophy in Santiago for several years and immersed himself in the wisdom of the most influential ancient masters and teachers in history.  He realized through his studies, there was a pattern to successful living that spanned over thousands of years, and these studies led him on a journey of self-discovery, shaped his way of thinking, and eventually influenced his own teaching philosophies and strategies.

Ancient universal principles inspired Grandmaster Marco Sies to write The Master Method book, highlight positive success stories on The Master Method television program, and to develop the educational strategies at The Master Method Academy. The intention was to help others learn and benefit from these ancient principles, to present them in a modern way, and to show how these concepts can develop a healthy mind and spirit.  They can be applied to anyone’s life, regardless of where you are, how many mistakes you’ve made, and anyone can start fresh, learn to do better, achieve their goals, and find peace and happiness.  In addition to achieving his own successes using these principles, Grandmaster Marco sies has developed thousands of successful students, black belts, and coached national, international and world champions over the past 30 years.

Because of the breadth of his martial arts training and experience in such a variety of disciplines, philosophies and techniques across borders and centuries, Grandmaster Marco sies’ teaching style evolved to encompass the most significant, practical and impactful elements of the many disciplines he studied. Just as the “Master Method” encompasses universal principles for life, the martial arts style he teaches encompasses principles and techniques that span the globe and eras of time, and the style is now referred to as “Uchudo,” which translates to, “the way of the Universe.”
